I don't think Lozo reads much. I think he even said as much on his blog somewhere.

As for what I assume the spineless anonynous commenter is harping on, I stand by my reviews of McCaig's book and if there are any inaccuracies, please do illuminate me on what they are. I posted plenty of word-for-word quotes from the book and discussed the issues I harped on in several follow up posts.

The only inaccuracies I am aware of are McCaig's omission of unfavorable facts like him being beaten in the Nationals by a Barbie Collie or what happened to all the people who signed that AKC:Hands Off petition or wrote anti-AKC letters to the AKC. You can read about them in my upcoming post called "Where Are They Now."

I suspect he conveniently forgot about those people and their defection to the AKC because it doesn't fit his self righteous world view that the Third Estate should be ignored except when it's convenient to quote them against the AKC (10 years ago, never mind what they are doing today).

He also conveniently changes his attitude from one of mild pity in the book (~ I don't think we'd be as brave if the AKC controlled sheep trials) to declaring the Third Estate "a clear and present danger" in the internal memos... since it's obvious the "clear and present danger" rhetoric would make the ABCA look poor in the book whereas he can get away with it while preaching to the choir.

It's easy to demonize conformation, but it's not so easy to make the case that versatility or sport breeders are ruining the breed.

Feel free to leave your name and some more detail next time, or perhaps your thoughts are as empty as your comment.
